Win a Slow Cooker! (and my crock pot recipe)

Visit Ribbon Rock Star to celebrate 1000 posts and the chance to win this Kitchenaid 7 qt slow cooker! Entry requires you post a slow cooker recipe in a post comment. Have fun and let me know if you win! Of course I'm hoping I win, but I could learn to be happy for someone else! lol

Here is the recipe(s) that I posted:

Day 1 Recipe (this is good for Saturday night dinner):

"FAUXTISSERIE CHICKEN"
-One Whole Chicken-Dried onion (or onion powder)

-Fresh Garlic (or garlic powder)
-Sea Salt or Season Salt (or table salt)
-Paprika if you have it (this gives it that "roasted" color)
-Rosemary or Thyme sprinkled on it if you want it to be "fancy"

Place chicken in crockpot. Sprinkle all the above on top and around sides. Place lid on and turn to HIGH and cook for 8 hours for SUPER tender chicken!
Serve with your choice of side items.

Waste Not, Want Not: Save any leftover chicken and refrigerate. Take leftover broth and chicken carcass and keep in crock pot and add more water to pot to fill up about half way to 3/4 full. Add more seasons to your liking. Cook either on high for the next few hours then save broth (after it cools) for another recipe OR cook it on low overnight. In the morning strain your broth so that all you have is broth and place broth in another bowl until ready for it.

Day 2 Recipe (this is good for after morning church):

"CHICKEN NOODLE STEW" (you can omit any or all veggies to your likin')
-1 package of Frozen Egg Noodles (like Reams)

-1/2 bag of frozen peas & carrots
-1/2 bag of frozen corn
-2-3 stalks of celery cut up
-1/8-1/4 cup of Dried onion flakes (or use about 1/2 - 1 med onion chopped up finely)

By now your crock pot should be about full so go ahead and add in any leftover chicken from the night before (if you have any) and add broth to fill to the top (if there's leftover broth put it in freezer to save for another recipe). Now set it to low and cook until noodles are done
(usually 2-3 hours). Umm Umm Good! Enjoy!

Blessings!

Micki

I just so happen to have a whole chicken in my freezer, I just might have to do this.
